Remember the Barbie cake I made last week? There was some inspiration behind that cake. A few weeks ago Fish Mama hosted a cake carnival, showcasing some of her as well as other bloggers’ cake creations. They were awesome, but not too complicated. Now her cakes, with directions and photos are available in an eBook. My kids and I have been looking over this book for the past week and the boys already have their birthday cakes picked out! What I love about her cakes is that she utilizes toys and candy accessories to make the cake stand out. There isn’t a whole lot of fancy fondant frosting going on here!

She also has another excellent eBook, FishMama’s Guide to Cooking with Children. I love this book, not because I don’t know how to cook with my kids, but because she has some great kid friendly recipes. Think about it, we all suffer from kitchen burn out. If you are like me you tend to make the same meals over and over, because they are familiar and usually easy. Well this eBook has fun, seasonal recipes that you can make with your kids. The eBook is also filled with tips for cooking with kids. I can’t wait to add some of these recipes into our lunch rotation.
For two days, February 26 & 27 only these books are on sale…
Two Ebooks
Two Days
Two Dollars
That’s right. Two ebooks for two dollars – Pretty. Cool. Cakes and FishMama’s Guide to Cooking with Children.
Pretty. Cool. Cakes: A Baker’s Dozen of Creative Birthday Cake Ideas – the ideal resource for anyone interested in decorating fun and festive cakes at home. A great money saver as well as a special memory maker, this book shows the average home baker how to decorate cakes that will dazzle and delight.
FishMama’s Guide to Cooking with Children – filled with seasonal cooking activities to do with your kids, including authentic ethnic meals, such as Saint Patrick’s Day Feast to a Cinco de Mayo fiesta.
I love these eBooks, they are normally $5.95 each so $2 for both is a bargain! The sale only lasts for two days, so get them while they are cheap!
