This McDonalds deal came in my inbox this morning and I immediately deleted it. I don’t eat at McDonalds. But as I was checking Facebook this morning my sweet friend Jen reminded me that this deal could be used to give food to the homeless. You can read her idea for using this McDonald’s Living Social Deal to bless others on her website.
So whether you love or hate McDonalds this Big Mac and Fry deal might be a way to bless your family or another. For $13 you get vouchers for 5 Big Macs and 5 Large Fries. If you don’t have a Living Social account you can sign up here. If you already have an account and have credits you could get this deal for free. Remember when you buy a deal on Living Social and share it with three friends – who also purchase the deal- the deal is free for you!
Fine Print: Voucher booklet contains ten (10) separate tear-away vouchers. Individual tear-away vouchers do not expire • Limit one per purchaser • Voucher booklet will be sent via first-class mail and should be expected to arrive within two weeks after purchase.

I didn’t use to care for McDonald’s at all. I’d pick up a fountain soda through the drive thru from time to time, but the lack of healthy options has always bothered me. Anyway, mid August of this year I gave birth to what we expected to be a healthy baby girl. 12 hours after delivery, things soured. She got a helicopter ride to a hospital nearly 2 hours away where she stayed for about two weeks in the NICU. She had a heart surgery there. We stayed at the Ronald McDonald house so we could be with her as much as possible. Our stay there completely changed what I thought of the company. We had to stay there one more time for a second heart surgery. Now, we do all we can to bless that house. I’m still not big on eating their food, but whenever I’m thirsty for a soda, I go through their drive thru, and I always give money for them to put in the Ronald McDonald House container by the register!
Thanks for sharing your experience Alexi! That’s wonderful.
I did the same thing this morning and immediately deleted the LIving Social email that said McDonalds Big Macs. But using the coupons to give to the homeless is a fantastic idea and just convinced me to buy the vouchers. Tell Jan thanks and props!
