Do you love to watch movies on the big screen, but hate to pay big screen prices? Regal Cinema is hosting a Free Family Film Festival this summer.
When school’s out, kids around the country visit selected Regal theatres for the Free Family Film Festival. It’s a fun-filled nine weeks of movies for kids and parents. Since 1991, Regal has provided this service to the community, and best of all it’s FREE!
Selected G & PG movies start at 10AM each Tuesday and Wednesday during the festival. First-come, first-served seating is limited to theatre capacity. The Free Family Film Festival is safe, lots of fun and a great way for kids to spend a weekday morning in the summer.
Tickets for our 2009 Free Family Film Festival are exclusively available at select theatres’ box office on the day of the show.
We have enjoyed free movies for the past two weeks. It is a great way to get a break from the hot days of summer. I am sorry I didn’t post about this sooner, but I only found out about it two weeks ago and didn’t realize it was nationwide until this week.
The movies are older, for example last week we saw Kung Fu Panda, but since movie tickets cost around $10 here, I’ll take older movies over an empty wallet.
I think there are three more weeks left in the program, so visit the Regal site and see if there is a participating theatre near you.

We have gone to this a couple of times in our area. The kids love it. I love that they also allow us to bring in our own food and drink. I pack the kids some popcorn and juice and we have a great morning.
closest theater is 2 hours away…..cheaper to go to local theater at 5 dallors a head…eat before you go it cost more in food and drink than movie
we go to our free summer movies. We love it. some of the movies they play we haven’t seen before!! It’s also great to take little ones that are learning to sit and watch a movie!!!:)
ACM theaters do the same thing for $1 on Wednesdays. So if you don’t have a Regal close, maybe try AMC. It is so much fun.
We did several of these movies this summer. Since I took the big diaper bag (and the baby too), we were able to bring our own popcorn and bottles of water. Making a truly free movie.
