Discount Movie Tickets

300x250 WeeklyCinema3 Discount Movie Tickets Discount Movie Tickets
One thing my family loves to do is go to the movies. Taking eight people to the movies is not a frugal outing, so we probably only see one movie a year (matinee) and watch the rest on Netflix or hit the free summer movies down the street.

I recently signed up for a program called Weekly Cinema. When you sign up you get a free movie ticket, and then you get four (I think, it might be three I am trying to figure it out) tickets a month for $15.99. That means you are paying $4 or $5 for a movie ticket. Around here prices for a matinee are $7 or $8 and catching a movie after 7pm costs $11!

My children are getting to the age where all their friends go to the movies on the weekends so this is a great way for them to go to the movies with their friends and not spend all their (or my) hard earned money. At $5 a ticket you can have a date night for ten bucks!

When you sign up you have to give your name, address, email, and credit/debit card info and you are charged $0.15. You will immediately receive a code for your free ticket in your email. You redeem this code at Fandango and it is good for tickets up to $14. Every month (after the free trial) you are billed $15.99 and you receive your ticket codes on the first of the month. There is no contract and you can cancel at any time.

I would love to hear from anyone who has participated in the program. So far so good, but I always like to try things out before I recommend them to my readers/ friends.

I would love to sign up for this…thank you for the info! I noticed when I went to their website that they’ll give free tickets if you refer someone. I would be happy to make sure you get them. Did they give you a referral number or anything for people to give when they sign up?

  2. TheHappyHousewife says:

I didn’t see a referral number when I signed up. I will definitely ask around as I have a few friends who are trying it too. If you find it make sure you tell your friends about it so you can earn free tickets!

Wow, I have not heard of this! I like it. We are also a homeschooling family but we do k-12 because I am so new at homeschooling and my daughter has Asperger Syndrome so I felt I needed the support. It is actually a part of our public school system in our state.
I am looking forward to reading your blog.

Do they expire? Like do you have to use your 3 (or 4) tickets during the month that you receive them? Or can use them whenever. My family seems to have “seasons” when we go to the movies more often so it would be great to be able to use them whenever. Great find, though!

  6. TheHappyHousewife says:

They are good for 3 months after you receive them. So the free ticket I just received can be redeemed until November 4th.
    Hope that helps.

I’m getting a warning (from Web of Trust) that this might be a risky website… but who knows, maybe others have used it already?

  8. TheHappyHousewife says:

I didn’t get that warning when I signed up. I’ll have to ask around.

  9. I just visited the site and it’s saying $19.99 a month. Did they just change the price?

  10. TheHappyHousewife says:

I am not sure, it was $15.99 when I signed up. I tried to click through the link, but since I am already a member it doesn’t show the deal anymore. :(

  11. Britt says:

The deal now says $19.99 but for four movies…it looks like they change the promotion occasionally.

  12. Michelle says:

Something to note: The codes are good for 3 months, but make sure you click the REDEEM button each month to claim the codes, or they will be replaced the following month with three new codes….clicking REDEEM does not mean you need to use them right then, it just gives you the code to keep on hand (until expiration date)..just dont want anyway forgetting to do this and losing their tix one month.:)
