The Savvy Blogging team is excited to have Cracker Barrel Old Country Store as a sponsor of our dinner and round table discussion next month. Cracker Barrel realizes that not everyone can attend this event so they are giving away this wonderful gift basket to one of my readers. I don’t know about you, but I LOVE Cracker Barrel pancakes! It doesn’t matter what time of day, I always order the pancakes! I am getting hungry just thinking about it!
- Cracker Barrel Coffee Regular. Cracker Barrel searched out the finest beans and hand-selected a blend of coffee that we hope you’ll find as smooth in flavor as it is in aroma. Enjoy the same coffee at home as you do in our restaurant. Blended, roasted and ground to the exacting specifications of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store®. 16-oz. package.
- Corn Muffin Mix. Corn muffins like they used to make are what we try to serve in our restaurants every day. Now you can too, with this bit of down-home goodness that’s straight from our kitchen to yours. This 2.1 lb. box of corn muffin mix will make approximately 48 muffins and includes a recipe on the back.
- Cracker Barrel Buttermilk Pancake Mix. Wish you had some buttermilk pancakes just like Grandma used to make? Then our own Buttermilk Pancake Mix will remind you of a time when a hearty morning breakfast was as much a part of each day as the sunrise. This is the same mix we use in the restaurant, so now you can enjoy our pancakes at home, too. 2-lb. package.
- 100% Pure Natural Syrup. At Cracker Barrel Old Country Store®, we’ve been serving hearty country breakfasts all day long, ever since we opened our doors back in 1969. Today, we still make buttermilk pancakes fresh from scratch and use only the finest ingredients – like this 100% Pure Natural Syrup. Enjoy the same syrup we serve in our restaurants at home with this signature 12-oz. bottle
- Dickinson’s® Wild Maine Blueberry Syrup. Want to try something different with your pancakes? We suggest pouring on some of Dickinson’s® Wild Maine Blueberry Syrup! Just like we serve in our restaurants, this syrup is packed with the fruity flavor of Wild Maine Blueberries. 12 fl. oz.
- Peg Game. If you’ve ever visited a Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, we’re pretty sure you noticed the peg games on our dining room tables. A great way to test your I.Q., this classic peg game has been with Cracker Barrel since the very beginning. Jump the pegs to remove as many as possible from the board. Practice until perfection, or follow the strategies included with the game. Mastering the peg game is sure to keep you occupied for hours on end!
- Cracker Barrel Mug. Whether you are enjoying the rich flavor of Cracker Barrel’s original coffee in the morning, or prefer sipping on hot cocoa topped off with yummy marshmallows for a special treat, this tasteful brown mug, with the distinctive Cracker Barrel logo, is sure to become your favorite way to enjoy a drink!
To win this awesome Cracker Barrel gift basket leave a comment and tell me what you like best about Cracker Barrel. If you have never been to a Cracker Barrel you can tell me that too. Giveaway ends Friday, January 15, 2010. (Date correction, I initially typed February, but meant to type January. Thanks Mary for noticing!)

I miss Cracker Barrel! Since we moved to CT we don’t have one very close to us, but when we travel to GA to visit family we always eat at one. I love the fried shrimp, turnip greens with corn muffins, hashbrown casserole and fried okra. YUM!
2 words: hashbrown casserole
The Country Store
Favorite thing? Hmmm… not sure I can pick just one.
Here are my favorite thingS:
Hashbrown casserole, pancakes, BISCUITS, mashed potatoes
Cracker Barrel and I are good, good buddies….
I love to shop the clearance at their store. Go figure, me love clearance!
I love to eat at cracker barrel, especially when we travel by car with 3 kids. I know the kids will actually eat some veggies and good food when we go there. I personally love the pancakes, chicken fried steak, BLT and biscuits.
My favorite thing about Cracker Barrel is that you can shop while waiting for your table. They have the cutest things! Thanks for the giveaway.
EEKKK OMG I LURVE Cracker Barrel!!! It is a family favorite, anytime there is a bday, mother’s day, fathers day or just anytime we go out to dinner with my parents we end up at Cracker Barrel! I love everything about Cracker Barrel, I love their fried okra, their buttermilk biscuits (im drooling just thinking about them), I love their pancakes and in the summer I love their flavored lemonades!! Oh, and how could you NOT love their country store! Oooo I love them!
I love the fresh out of the oven biscuits at Cracker Barrel! They are beyond yummy. I also love their Pot roast dinner and their pancakes with cherries and whipped cream on top. Cracker Barrel has some great comfort foods plus I love their country store. They do free gift wrap and they usually have some great gift ideas, great sales (Their porch sale!) and great prices!
My hubby and I make Cracker Barrel our stop to eat when we are far from home, just because the food is so homey! I love the meatloaf!
My favorite thing about Cracker Barrel is that it connects me to my dear German friend Vicki. Vicki discovered Cracker Barrel on a family trip to the USA and fell in love with – of all things – their caramel popcorn. I brought her some as a hostess gift a few years ago, and a tradition was born. Now, every Christmas, she knows she’ll get CB caramel popcorn from me. (And I have found more Cracker Barrels, while searching for said popcorn, than I ever knew existed. This year’s gift came from the Sharpsburg, MD CB.)
My second favorite thing about CB is the nice folks who work there. They are always so friendly, even when they’re swamped by five tour buses’ worth of customers. That’s pretty hard to do – and I do appreciate friendly service.
I love the syrup the best. Thanks for the chance at winning.
The perfect meal would be the chicken and rice dinner with a side of hash brown casserole and fried okra. For dessert I would have the chocolate cobbler, of course! I really wish the chicken and rice would be available every day and not just on Saturdays. But I guess I will take what I can get!
Kathy
I love Cracker Barrel!
I love the homey feel to it, the products, and the delicious homestyle cooking!
I adore Cracker Barrel for many reasons… I love breakfast, and they do it just right. It reminds me of home (in the South), and it’s hard to find good grits out West! I also love the golf tee game. I remember playing it as a kid and I do remember the first time I had only 1 left! I was so proud!
we don’t have cracker barrel in the sf bay area so i don’t know what i like best but the coffee looks good
I LOVE their hashbrown casserole. I HAVE to have it every time I go. Oh, & their biscuits & gravy.
Oh, my! They have so many delicious things. I guess my favorite would be the biscuits with blackberry jam!
I LOVE the Cracker Barrel Store!! Of course, the food is great too!!
Hashbrown Casserole!!!! All the way!
I’ve never been to the Cracker Barrel.
Their chef salad with homemade croutons is so good!! I have never had something there that I have not enjoyed. Thanks for the chance!!
I no longer live anywhere near a cracker barrel but I loved their apples that they had as a side dish … and getting to browse the store while I waited … love it!!!
Our Cracker Barrel has a nice fire in a stone fireplace. It’s so relaxing and reminds me of the dinner with family on cold winter nights. I also like eating bisquits while we wait for our food to arrive.
I’ve never been but I’ve heard good things about them!
Chicken n dumplins! (said with a southern drawl!) That and the fried okra. Man, I love me some Cracker Barrel. My son loves being able to buy a TY beanie babie from the country store to play with each time we go.
I just love Cracker Barrel…it’s my favourite place to visit in the States! I think it’s the ‘rusticness’ of it all. I find it all so fascinating! Down-home cooking, the little store, the stone fireplace, the timber floors and walls, etc.
I LOVE Cracker Barrel. I’m a southern girl at heart, transplanted all over by the Air Force and am married to a city boy that doesn’t quite appreciate southern food the way I do! So, I don’t cook southern style foods often and it is such a lovely treat when we go to Cracker Barrel (about 2x per year) and I can get my favorites – turnip greens, fried okra and corn muffins!!
The hashbrowns!! And everything is so expensive. I can feed my family for around $20!
^obviously should say INexpensive. Sorry.
I just adore Cracker Barrel! The hashbrown casserole is my favorite; DH loves Fish Fry Fridays!
I love their fried okra and greens! Yummy!
Never been to one…they are not around here so I would love to try it!
We go to the Cracker Barrel every time on vacation. In fact, it’s where my hubby and I went hours after we got engaged. LOVE IT! Hashbrown casserole ROCKS!
My son always gets the Uncle Hershels…we go, and they don’t even have coupons (but would go more if they did).
I really love the little store before you enter the restaurant (though I love the food as well!). All that fun and old fashioned candy toys– it makes me feel like a kid again.
Cracker Barrel is one of our family’s favorite restaurants…my 2 boys LOVE it! They always order the pancakes too! They are SOOOO yummy!
Our family loves Cracker Barrel! My favorite is the Chicken and Dumplings, YUM! My 4 dd loves trolling around the store. My two teens love sitting outside rocking in the rocking chairs. We live in Florida, so they basically do that every time we go. Thanks for the great offer. And oh, everyone fights over the biscuits.
There’s not much to NOT like about Cracker Barrel, but I LOVE their coffee, biscuits, chicken and dumplings, and hashbrown casserole!
Woowho love the Mama’s Pancake Breakfast yummy!!! The store it also great as well as all those great rockers on the front porch … we have 2 here at home just because we loved them so much!!! Thanks for the giveaway!!!
Sadly, I have never been to a Cracker Barrel. I’ve always heard wonderful things about it. My boss traveled from CA to Tenn. this Christmas and brought me back some Cracker Barrel Apple Butter. Oh my gosh, it is sooo yummy. I even put a note on the top of it to tell the rest of my family to keep their hands off!!! I would love to add the basket of goodies to my apple butter
Laurie
Jen. You crack me up. My DH always gets Uncle Hershel’s too–with catfish. I still can’t make catfish and breakfast foods work together in my head.
Jessie
The honey is amazing too. The food is reasonably priced and they serve nice sized portions. My family loves Cracker Barrel.
Mama’s pancake breakfast with blueberry pancakes! Oh, yum!!!
I’ve never been to Cracker Barrel but I LOVE pancakes!
My favorite thing about Cracker Barrel is that they serve breakfast all day! Oh, and that they have that awesome store to take the kids walking though while we wait for the food!
We don’t have one nearby, but love to visit Cracker Barrel when we travel. My boys like the rocking chairs out front & the giant checker games. I can’t remember the right name for it – but I love the country-style veggies – where you can order a dinner consisting entirely of down-home style vegetable options. Cracker Barrel is always a great family-friendly dining environment – important to us with four boys 9 and under!
I’m alway torn between the chicken fried chicken and the pancakes!! I don’t go often enough, especially since there is one 2 miles from my house! Now I’m hungry for some biscuits!!
My favorite, morning, noon, and night, is the egg sandwich, scrambled with cheese. My daughter will talk about the cherry pancakes for days. We LOVE Cracker Barrel.
Wow, I’m actually not sure I’ve ever had the pancakes! Now I’ll have to find an excuse to stop and enjoy some one of these days. I personally love their hash brown casserole. That’s where I first had that dish, and I’ve never had another one that measures up.
We love Cracker Barrel – morning, noon and night!
