Are wooden spoons and wooded cutting boards healthy? I had heard that bacteria gets in the wood and that we should use some type of nonporus material. AND although I am not the cook you are I do love my old salad shooter!! My kids laughed at me the Christmas I gave them each a salad shooter... but then again I think they were like in their early twenties... They are older and wiser now! I have a question? Candace- I will update on the vita-mix soon, we do love it, and it does everything. We made waffles in it this morning (not cooking them, the mixing part).
