I grew up on beans and cornbread! I love to cook a whole chicken in the crock pot. You can get several meals out that.

Yum! I came from Beauty and Bedlam – I’m going to try your potato soup recipe – much healthier and easier than other versions I’ve tried! And beans are one of my favorites too – it just doesn’t get better than super healthy and super cheap!

  9. oh amanda says:

Ha! Actually, those pics look SO good b/c all I’ve eaten in the last 24 hours is a 1/4 c. of applesauce! YUM. I’m so clicking on each and every one of those!

Those look really good. I’m betting I can con my new food hater to try the beans and cornbread. He may hate food, but he loves carbs. We’ve nicknamed him carb boy. He will always eat bread in any form.

  13. Pam says:

I’m a big fan of beans, too. Also, spaghetti squash is a big favorite around this house.

  14. Great recipes, all – the healthy version of Potato Soup intrigues me, since I LOVE potato soup and I am forever trying to perfect the balence between “easy on the wallet” and “easy on the waistline.” :)

  15. Sherry says:

Oh, how I wish my children and dh liked beans. Ugh! :(
