No menu plan for the Happy House this week. With several of the kids and mom fighting various illnesses trying to plan what I will feel like cooking this week is impossible. Fortunately, thanks to an awesome meat sale a few weeks back my freezer is stocked with hamburger and a few roasts, and for some reason we have enough rice to last for the next two years.
Maybe I’ll come up with an interesting recipe this week.
But, since I don’t feel much like cooking, I did want to share with you an awesome resource I learned about last month. Have you heard of the Econobuster’s website? This site is full of helpful tips, money saving recipes, and frugal ideas. I especially liked this post about repurposing a pasta box for a Christmas gift box! At the rate we go through pasta, I’ll have no trouble accumulating lots of boxes this fall!
I was really excited when I found their menu planning ebook, which is free when you sign up for their newsletter. The ebook is very similar to the menu planning techniques I wrote about a few months ago. There are forms and lists, and helpful hints to make your menu planning a huge success. There is even a master shopping list divided up by weeks. I think I am going to take their list and use it to price compare as well as shop.
If you don’t have the time to create a slew of forms for menu planning download your free menu planning from Econobusters, it will help you save time and save money in the kitchen.

Hope you’re all feeling better. I did a good meal plan for this week. Did all my grocery shopping. And then we got sick. I’m not sure I’ll be sticking with the meal plan.
Thanks so much for sharing about my site!
