Ugghh . . . I am so tired of pasta and rice and realize now that I too buy it on sale and then we don't eat as much as I buy. My little guy is just starting to like pasta, but at least because of the pantry clean out I can buy some whole wheat pasta to keep on hand (and only a few boxes! Not the eight or ten I had!) for him but limit it . . . hubby and I have not lost any weight on the clean out the pantry diet (I think I've gained a pound or two!) so it'll be back to lower carb for us soon! :)

Thanks for participating with me in the pantry clean out! I've realized a few things about myself with going through it - I buy a lot of condiments, can't pass up a 10/$10 pasta sale, and I don't really eat white rice anymore. I also have tons of baking supplies and really only bake heartily once a year (for Christmas) and need to limit my baking supplies a bit more often throughout the year (though this may be easier as my little guy gets older!)

I'm headed to the store this afternoon for primarily dairy and some pork chops and cleaning supplies . . . have a great week!

Best,
Sarah

Good Job staying under budget for the month and doing so well on your pantry challenge.

Last year, I learned that shopping with a purpose is better than just buying because of the good sale. I found that just because something looks good or tastes good to me might be the case for my family so it is better to shop with a main purpose--"buy food that everyone will enjoy!" Sure I still get food that just a few of us will eat BUT in moderation!

You have a yummy week planned! It is a short week for me too!

Enjoy your week!
