Menu Plan: Pantry Edition

Did you know that I’m celebrating my bloggy birthday? I’m giving away some of my favorite things this week, as a thank you to my awesome readers! I’ve got some great stuff I want to share with you so check back daily for more giveaways, and go enter my first giveaway for a great cake ebook!

I hate to admit this, but since the day we moved into our house the pantry has been a total mess. I brought what was left of our dry goods with us and hurriedly unpacked them into my new pantry.  Since then, the pantry has been a disorganized wreck. I haven’t taken the time to organize it, and every time I go shopping it gets progressively worse. This week I plan to organize the pantry, but not before we clear it out by eating most of the food in it first.

Here are a few staples from the pantry, I’ll need to plan my meals around these staples so we can clean out the pantry and get organized.

  • Potatoes
  • Rice
  • Dried Beans
  • Pasta
  • Tuna

I haven’t started meal planning yet but REALLY want to. What’s holding me back is the time (with 2 little ones) to get it organized and together. LOVE this idea of the magnetic board! Really hope to win this so I can start my planning. I LOVE to plan and organize everything!

I really love menu planning. I find its so much easier than the flying by the seat of your pants kinda cooking. LOVE this post! Hope your Monday is great!

  3. I love menu planning. I really love that it helps keep the day more organized and dinner of course flows so much more smoothly. I have to say your menu looks really good even if it is “from the pantry.” The bagel recipe looks delicious. I will have try that one!

Following after you this week and planning from my pantry.

I’ll be coming to your place for my meals — your pictures look so delicious! I’m working on organizing my pantry. I’m considering converting a coat closet in my hallway that’s right outside my kitchen into a pantry because I don’t have much cabinet space.

What kind of waffle maker do you use? I would like to invest in one but never know what brand to get.

Your waffles and your menu look so good. Thank you for sharing and you have a great week!
