Menu Plan: No Leftovers!

If you are looking to save big on your grocery bill, check out the amazing Cyber Monday sale from Grocery University. You can purchase the whole course for $6!

So the good thing about traveling during Thanksgiving is that I didn’t have to cook the turkey. The bad thing…. no leftovers! That’s okay though, because I thoroughly enjoyed them Friday and Saturday!

In other menu news, last week my daughter and I watched Food, Inc. Menu Plan: No Leftovers! . A little advice, do not watch this movie unless you are willing to make some serious changes in your eating habits. Things are going to be changing around the Happy House next year in regards to our eating, and of course I plan on taking you all with me on our journey. More on that later, now on to the menu!

Your menu for the week looks great. I want to come to your house for breakfast. Thank you for sharing and have a good week.

  3. Shannon says:

Our family watched that movie a couple of months ago. It was very eye-opening.

  4. I guess that is a movie I need to skip for a while. Your menu sounds wonderful!!

  5. Jackie says:

Food Inc. will definitely make you think about what you are eating. It’s changed our home as well. :)

  6. Dana says:

My husband and I watched Food, Inc. a couple of weeks ago and are trying to make small changes over time as well. For now we’re focusing on at least buying organic animal products (meat, eggs, milk, etc.) and getting organic veggies whenever we can! It definitely gets pricey but it worth it in the long run and is especially more do-able right now since we have no kids.

  7. Monique says:

We watched that and were so grossed out! Now that we eat grass fed meats you realize it all has actual flavor!!!! Its amazing…good luck!

  8. Rachelle says:

    Toni,
I can’t wait to see what your new plans will be. I am racking my brains over here with ideas! That movie disgusted us !!! Needless to say I don’t want to eat meat, drink milk or see another chicken!! Glad to be informed about our food, just don’t know what to eat now! let alone feed my army….. BTW just found out #11 is on the way ;-)

  9. TheHappyHousewife says:

    Rachelle-
Congrats on #11! I agree, the movie disgusted me too! Big changes are coming in 2011. Just need to create a plan…. :)

  10. Alyssa says:

Assuming you took these pics yourself. Where do you get whole salmon like that? My husband and I love salmon and can only find it in small pieces which are never enough for our family of 5.

  11. TheHappyHousewife says:

I buy it at Costco, can’t remember how much I paid for it though.

  12. Grace says:

    Your menu looks fantastic.
