Menu Plan: Make Ahead Meals

Don’t forget you can save 10% on an E-Mealz subscription this week!

I cannot believe how much having an organized pantry and freezer makes a difference in my meal planning and preparation. We had no emergency trips to the store, we stuck to the menu plan perfectly, and we were $40 under budget on our grocery bill!

I’m still working out the details on my printable inventory sheets, but I promise I’ll share them soon.

My family is going to be in several different places this week so most of the meals can be made ahead and frozen. In fact I plan on making most of them today! They also freeze well as leftovers.

Delicious! Thanks for sharing your wonderful plans. So helpful and yummy, too!

  2. I have posted our menus for the week on my blog also – we stuck to our plan all week last week but, as I explained in my blog, there will be some changes this week from the month long plan that I had made earlier. But that is the beauty of planning ahead – you are able to change things around IF you need without having to make emergency trips to the store or having to eat out – couldn’t be any better. Please feel free to check out my plan at http://www.cdm-arewethereyet.blogspot.com – it might give you some other ideas. Happy planning!

I wanted to try your chicken and rice casserole. Do you have a particular kind of cheese that you prefer to use for this recipe? It sounds delicious!
    Thanks!

I can’t wait for your inventory sheets!! I’m starting to try to get an inventory of everything in my house – stockpiled toothpaste, medicines, food, etc…and I’m using the Out of Milk app on my Android phone. It has a barcode scanner, syncs with their website on my pc, and is awesome! I just need some kind of visual list to have on hand to use to mark off items as they’re used so that I can update the app info when I have time. I sure hope your printable inventory sheets would work!!! :)
