Menu Plan: Chilly Week

Temperatures are dropping this week as it looks like a cold front is sweeping the East Coast. These recipes will keep the kitchen and our family warm! I love using my crock pot and oven during the cooler months because it keeps the whole house warms and it smells great too!

    I love your new layout!

Great menu. Your pictures next to each food is always so nice and gives a great visual!

    What time is breakfast? :)

Your egg casseroles look phenomenal – do they reheat well? There are only two of us and not much time in the mornings. . . right now, I get by on a fruit smoothie and an english muffin, or a bowl of homemade granola and yogurt, and honestly, they’re getting a little boring!

  3. TheHappyHousewife says:

They do reheat well, but they aren’t as fluffy. They taste great though. :)

    Thank you Crystal!

The new layout is great! I love the bright colors and easy-to-read font!

My only problem…I was a little confused how to easily find your latest post! I ended up clicking on the first little dot in the “recent posts” box where they scroll through, and that took me to the first screen there, which was this post. Then I clicked the picture and it took me to this post. Did I do it the right way, or is there an easier way? :)

Also I’m going to check out the whole chicken in the crockpot–I’m out of the house 3 afternoons a week and don’t want to roast a chicken while I’m gone. This sounds like a great solution!

There is an easier way, (or at least I think there is) I’m still learning too. I should have a tutorial up tonight. :) I think the crock pot chicken will work great for you.

  7. ToyLady says:

Thanks for the info on the eggs – they should make a great weekend breakfast, with leftovers during the week. :)

Also, I think, if you click the “Home” button way at the top of the page, that should take you to the front page.

  8. TheHappyHousewife says:

Yes, the Home button takes you to the home page, but there is a problem with the feeds being pulled to the front page. Should be fixed by tonight.

I like the new look! I’d like to try the whole chicken in a crockpot. What’s the texture like when it’s done? Is it like shredded meat?
