Great tips! I talked about this back in May but you've got a few I didn't think of.

It's canning season here in Arkansas and we're considering buying a small stove so I can do that outside as well as baking.

Lately I have also been considering using my big roaster oven (like you use at Thanksgiving) out on the porch. It can sit out there and because of how hot the outsides get...bugs and critters should leave it alone.

Great post and I love your blog! Keep it coming!

Sunday I baked a Chicken Ring, Brownies, Baked Poatoes and 2 mini meat loaves. I figured while the oven was hot, I should put it to good use :)

Good Morning, Toni!

Thanks for the tips and recipes. A lot of these tips I already utilize, but there were one or two that I didn't, and isn't great when those are pointed out? :)

I really need to get a breadmaker...

Going to check out your smoothie recipe - have a great day!

Thanks for all the recipes and tips for staying cool in the kitchen.

I try to not use the oven on hot days too by using my crockpot and grill.

Who cares what the neighbors think....you have kids and you have to eat despite the heat! LOL

A toaster oven is also great! Sometimes, you need to bake. But a toaster oven generates MUCH less heat than a full size oven. I got one that holds almost all my 9x13 pans (pyrex with handles don't fit). I do 90% of my cooking in this now, winter and summer, as it uses a LOT less electricity. :)
