I have a timer feature on my machine (most machines have this) so I load the ingredients in the morning, but the machine doesn't actually start working until the afternoon.
I would thaw first, but remember to par bake your crust before adding toppings and freezing.

I have two questions...in your homemade pizza recipe you stated "If you have a bread machine you can start this recipe in the morning, and then spend about 30 minutes before dinner making the pizza and baking it. I think this is a very convenient meal." If you make the crust in bread machine ahead of time, how do you keep it until you are ready to roll out and put together at dinner time?

Second question if you make them frozen like you said...what temp and length would you cook the pizza straight from the freezer? Or would you thaw and bake first? Thanks.

I had never thought of using leftovers for the pizza. What a great idea. Wish I had thought of it myself long ago! : )

We love homemade pizza. I have recipe with pics on my blog. We make it every week. I think it is one of our cheaper meals!

I stock up on sauce and cheese when it is on sale, as well as any toppings.

I also purchase flour and yeast from a co op to save money.

To order 2 large pizzas in our area, it would cost $20 or more. We have bought some from the store but they are so small and they don't taste nearly as good!

I make bread, I make biscuits. I will not make pizza. It takes most of the afternoon to make it for the 9 of us.

I totally cheat and get Little Caesars for $5 each. It takes 4 for us (we have teens!) for one meal. I estimate it takes $12 to make the same amount - plus about 3 hours. And I don't have to stand by the oven cooking pizza while everyone else eats.

Great idea to use the leftovers... We should do that too - way cheaper than getting take out all the time... Now if we can just figure out how to get home from work a little earlier! LOL :-)

YES, I make home made pizze EVERYSINGLE Friday nite for my family. I make the dough from scratch but use bought flour! :) Love your idea to use leftover to create a theme pizza. You are SO right, making it is SO much cheaper! Thanks for a great tip! :)
