Ok so it may be a little crazy to do this just before 10 pm, but I really wanted to try it! So I got all my ingredients together only to find little brown bugs in my wheat germ! Eek! Add on top of that I only had 1/4 cup of honey left. So I was thinking that was that...no granola :( I ran through the comments and came up with something different. I melted my butter and then added the salt, 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup peanut butter and then put in the oats and 1/4 cup flax seeds! It's in the oven now! I'll post on my blog how it comes out! www.sweetbeansoflife.blogspot.com
Thanks!

Oh yum! My second batch I used peanut butter instead of butter and added mini chocolate chips and dried cranberries. I love how quick this is.

LISA & BREANA, wheat germ is usually in the cereal isal at your local grocery store or if your store sells food in bulk sometimes you can get it there. I get mine at my local healthfood store. Hope that helps!
I love homemade granola!! I use pure maple syrup in mine! :) yummy!

Mine is in the oven now! Going to use it tomorrow for our Homeschool get together. Going to show the kids how to make trail mix :) I am going to do a second batch when this is out, but add some brown sugar and vanilla to it. You find wheat germ in the cereal isle next to the granola. That is where our store has it!

Our news station showed us how to make a similar granola the other day ... but the chef said to never put in dried fruits or similar until after the mix had cooled and to mix those ingredients in as you put the mix into its container.

Got it in the oven now! I tossed some raisins in because I had them, otherwise it is exactly the same. I can't wait!

YUM! The granola looks to-die-for! My kids love fruit and yogurt parfaits for breakfast, with a handful of unsalted almonds and a little granola in them. This is perfect! I usually buy the yogurt with the granola already included, from YoCrunch. They're really good for on-the-go!

I'll let you know how this turns out! My kids are going to love it :)
