Are you making your menu up for 1 week, 2 weeks or a month at a time? Did you say you go grocery shopping 2 times a month?

I have to agree with Siri, it is nice to see a "real" shopping trip by someone.

First of all, thanks for showing what a NORMAL shopping trip looks like. I'm on several blogs where they total to $200 but with coupons it comes to $12. Turns out they only bought 20 boxes of cereal and no real food!

Second, I was curious how you budget when you shop. Are yu somehow mentally adding up prices as you put food into your cart? Or do you just let the chips fall where they may, and eat macaroni at the end of the month if you're out of money? I would love to get a handle on the grocery budget, it's the spot where we go over most often. Thanks! Love your blog.
