30 Days of Disney ~ Wait Times Delivered to Your iPhone

My sister provided me with this next Disney tip. For visitors with an iPhone there is an application that tells you how long the wait is for rides at the Magic Kingdom. The application was just approved by Apple this week, and relies on other park visitors to provide wait time information. The application costs $0.99 and apps for other theme parks will be available soon.

This is such a great idea, because it will keep you from running from Space Mountain to Splash Mountain, only to find that upon arrival the wait is over and hour and you passed several shorter lines on your way to the ride.

This application is called “Wait Times” and you can read more about it here.

Hi, I’m Brent, the guy in the story.
Just want you to know the full name of the app is Wait Times Magic Kingdom edition. There’s another app out there with “wait times” in the name. I don’t mind telling you because apps are so cheap, you can buy and try both and see which you think has the potential to be more helpful and more used. I’ll be in the parks this summer to support and promote the app. So if you see a guy with a t-shirt that says “Hate waiting in long lines? There’s an app for that.” it’s me. Stop me and say hello.
Brent
PS – Apps for the other Disney and Universal parks should be out next week. (We made the app single-park so that you can see the wait times for every ride in the park right at start up, without any further navigation.) Hope you guys like and use it as much as I plan to.
